Your appointment can be a combination of the various modalities offered by The Heart's Mission Creative Therapy. See the Services section for more details. Appointments are scheduled in half-hour increments, from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Should I arrive early?
For your first session, please arrive 10-15 minutes early, or save time and email or print and bring in the intake form.
Is there a waiting room area?
When you enter suite #103, you find a quiet waiting room with comfortable chairs, a couch and a place for you to make yourself tea or help yourself to purified alkaline water, browse our bookshelf for inspirational reading material, or journal quietly before or after your session.
The washrooms are located outside of the suite, just down the hall (the keys are located by the front door).
How easy is it to get here?
Located at Oak St and Broadway Ave, the healing office is easy to get to by car, transit, cycling and walking.
- There are a few free parking spots (both 1 hour and 2 hour) nearby along W. 8th Ave.
- There is pay-metered parking along W. Broadway (no parking between 3-6pm weekdays) & Spruce St.
- There is a large pay-parking lot at Oak St. and W, Broadway Ave. ($4 per hour)
- The Bus #9 (Alma/Boundary) stops directly out front of the building.
- The Bus #99 (B-Line) stops at Heather St/Willow St which is 2-3 blocks away.
- The Canada Line Skytrain: Broadway/City Hall lets out at Cambie St, just 5 blocks east of Oak St.
What does my session include?
All sessions include an aromatherapy facial compress (please request when you arrive), as well as a general energy clearing to help you to relax so you can have a deeper session.
During the session we can cover many areas to support you. Firstly we can support you to make gentle changes to your energy field to empower your intention, and living into your ideal. During the session, we can work on energy healing (you are resting on a massage table); we can cover a bodywork session with natural essential oils; we can go into deeper issues of concern with counselling; and we can support your empowerment with life mission coaching. There is also the opportunity for art therapy using dry mediums and paper, and shaping forms using modeling clay.
What do you charge for missed sessions?
Most therapeutic offices charge the full session rate for missed sessions. At The Heart's Mission Creative Therapy, there is a $40 service fee charged for all missed sessions without adequate cancellation notice of 24hrs. Please send an email e-transfer to [email protected] for $40 before you re-book.
Can I purchase the essential oil that was used in the session?
If there was an aromatherapy blend or a single essential oil that you loved during your session, and you'd like to start using it yourself, please inquire.
Can I pre-purchase a session, or as a gift for someone else?
Sessions and packages for The Heart's Mission can be pre-purchased online using your credit card. Visit the online store.
Do I get rewarded for referring friends and family to you?
Our Client Referral Program is a generous way to share your love of healing and relaxation with friends and family.
For each person who mentions you in their first session, you will receive a credit for $20 towards a single session of any modality or therapeutic service. You will be notified by email when a referral has mentioned you, and a credit voucher with be noted on your file. Please use the $20 credit within 1 year. This offer cannot be combined with any other credits, discounts or promotional vouchers.
