What kinds of sessions can I expect?
Your appointment can be a combination of the various modalities offered by The Heart's Mission. See the Services section for more details.  Appointment length times are 30, 60 or 90 minutes. 

Should I arrive early?

If this is your first session, please arrive 10-15 minutes early, or print and bring in The Heart's Mission Intake Form. Please be sure to arrive on-time, as your session start time and session  length is 'as indicated' on your booking confirmation email.

Do you have a place I can relax before or after my session?
There is a waiting room area with ample seating for your comfort and convenience. Please feel free to make yourself tea or help yourself to purified alkaline water You may wish to browse our bookshelf for inspirational reading material, or journal quietly before or after your session.  The washrooms are located outside of the suite, just down the hall (the keys are located by the front door).

How easy is it to get here?
Located at Oak St and Broadway Ave, the healing office is easy to get to by car, transit, cycling and walking.

Parking Options:
  • There are a few free parking spots (both 1 hour and 2 hour) nearby along W. 8th Ave.
  • There is metered parking along W. Broadway (no parking between 3-6pm weekdays) & Spruce St. 
  • There is a large parking lot at Oak St. and W, Broadway Ave. ($4 per hour).
Transit Options:
  • The Bus #9 (Alma/Boundary) stops directly out front of the building.
  • The Bus #99 (B-Line) stops at Heather St/Willow St which is 2-3 blocks away.
  • The Canada Line Skytrain: Broadway/City Hall lets out at Cambie St, just 5 blocks east of Oak St.

Do you offer any deals or promotions?
The Heart's Mission Creative Therapy offers a special monthly promotion to clients who are currently on the email list. Please feel free to join our email list  (you have the option to unsubscribe at any time).

Can I pre-purchase a session for myself or as a gift for someone else?
Sessions and packages for The Heart's Mission can be pre-purchased online using any major credit card. Please visit the online store.

Do I get rewarded for referring friends and family to you?
Our Client Referral Program is a generous way to share your love of healing and relaxation with friends and family.
For each person who mentions you in their first session, you will  receive a credit for $20 towards a single session of any modality or therapeutic service. You will be notified by email when a referral has mentioned you, and a credit voucher with be noted on your file.

Please note: the $20 credit does not expire. This offer cannot be combined with any other credits, discounts or promotional vouchers.

Can I purchase the essential oil that was used in the session?

If there was an aromatherapy blend or a single essential oil that you loved during your session, and you'd like to start using it yourself, please speak to Leah about this directly.

What do you charge for missed sessions?
Most therapeutic offices charge the full session rate for missed sessions. At The Heart's Mission Creative Therapy, there is a $40 service fee charged for all missed sessions without adequate cancellation notice of 24hrs.  Please send an email e-transfer to leah@theheartsmission.com for $40 before you re-book.

I have a promotional voucher and it expired before the date of my booked session. . .
If you have a promotional voucher for a session, please note there is a $20 service fee if your voucher has expired before the date of your appointment. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
